Bridlington Bay

I recently completed my Shearwater 17 hybrid kayak and launch it from Bridlington north beach.  The beach has good access and parking (pay and display on sea front or free on nearby avenues).  The beach is mainly sandy and safe and trips to the south beach past the harbour or north to Danes Dyke and South landing are possible at any state of the tide.  Tides flood north to south and ebb south to north so it is possible to go and come back with the tide if you time your launch correctly.  Avoid launching at high water springs as there are chalk boulders on the beach, otherwise I have found it safe.

Re: Bridlington Bay

Steve,

It sounds like a good spot.  I'd love to see some snaps of your boat when you get chance.
