Pacific Proa - Madness

This lightweight ‘Pacific’ or windward proa, is for fast cruising.  It has two bows making tacking a casual drama-free procedure.

The plans and kit are now available.

4 bows surely, and 2 rudders.  This boat is alwyas on the starboard tack so it must have the right of way at all times!

Re: Pacific Proa - Madness

A boat that is always on the starboard tack is the sailing equivalent of the holy grail but we have not found it yet.  Although the windward side is always the same side of the boat the label given to that side changes.  Sometimes the sail is on the port side and sometimes on the starboard side.  Pity really.
