The perfect boat for Christmas
My perfect boat should be light and narrow enough to be car toppable and capable of being launched by one person not in the first flush of youth. It should be wide enough to accommodate four and have sufficient room for a picnic hamper. It needs to sail well in a light breeze but not be knocked down by strong winds. It needs to be equally at home on the canal and on the sea.
I wonder which of the Fyne Boat Kits fits my needs. If I have missed an important aspect please let me know in time to tell Father Christmas.

How about low freeboard to reduce windage but dry?

Great picture Jackanory. Is that the new National A4 that fyne have in prototype?
I want a boat that I can paddle on the portside about onece every 5 mins and still go in a straight line at 4+ knots. i am still waiting for the advice of our tame experts on this!

We are working on it Richard. It is a double tandem and the idea is that you dabble the paddle whilst the other three do the paddling. We have also taken into account other comments so there will be severely restricted footroom for the other paddlers to accommodate a case of champagne.
If you cannot wait the Cheasapeake Triple will achieve the same effect albeit with reduced power.

Already got a Dinky D. We were thinking about the F4 until we started dreaming about the Madness. We have the study plans and it seems to fit most of the requirements previously noted except fitting on the roof rack. Probably just dreaming but then I dreamt about a smart phone and did get one eventually.
