Mirage drive "shelf" for Waterlust

I am building a Waterlust Sailing Canoe and am working on the center console assembly. The plans show two "shelf" pieces where the brackets for the Mirage drive are attached. I have been thru all of my parts and pieces and don't find anything that even looks close. I assume if I needed to fabricate these parts, it would give dimensions in the instructions. I am in the U.S. so my kit came from CLC. I will give them a call tomorrow when they are open, but I thought I would see if anyone here had any insight.

Re: Mirage drive "shelf" for Waterlust

Were you successful?

My kit lacked those shelf bits also. I tried making some up out of laminated marine ply but they failed mostly from delamination where the bolts were to be placed before I ever got my Waterlust launched:

Instead I fabricated mine out of Delrin solid plastic, which proved to be vastly more suitable for the loads imparted on them.

Upon querying Dillon, he replied: "The shelves should be 6" long, 2-1/2" wide, 3/4" thick - either cut from solid timber, laminated plywood, or Starboard / G10 / some other high-density, relatively stiff plastic."

I have pics somewhere, I'll see if I can find 'em.
