Skerry transport

I'm thinking of building the skerry. Does anyone know if this can be transported on a car roof rack? Thanks, Miles

There is a picture of one on a car on the Skerry page of the Fyne Boat Kits website.  Click the magnifying glass and it is about 22nd picture.

It can be transported on a car roof rack, depending on the car. I have a Skoda Octavia and loaded the boat onto the roof rack yesterday. The roof rack is a basic Thule square bar, but with the widest set of bars available (150cms, I think). Transported to first launch and back on mainly single track roads for 25 miles or so without incident. I'd not like to try anything bigger on the Octavia, and wouldn't like to try with any smaller vehicle!
