fyne four bowsprit bobstay shackle boat backing pad

Just when I thought I was getting on well with my fyne four, my instruction book asked me to insert the bbsbbp into the bow
To be honest, I don't know what its for and also not where it fits. If I just epoxy it into the bow as I understand, then the bowsprit support doesnt fit ....

Can anybody help me?

Cheers Tony

Re: fyne four bowsprit bobstay shackle boat backing pad

I am glad you are getting on well.  The backing pad is a stiffening and strengthening piece of wood that is glued onto the inside of the bow so that the shackle bolt or U bolt (on the outside) for the bobstay can be attached to something substantial.

Please contact us and we will help you to understand the steps involved
