Chesapeake 17 LT gets wet!

Hi guys! The Ches 17 LT went in the water last Friday. Although she's 17 ft long you'd be right to call her a 10 ft boat. She looks OK from 10 ft . . . Here's a couple of pictures.

Around 3 months to build from plans and a few more scarph joints than expected as plywood here comes in 2.2 m x 1.7 m sheets. I don't have a workshop either - just some space outside a jewellers shop in the village which was closed for the winter but all things considered she's turned out OK. Tracks beautifully and didn't sink!

She looks good actually!  The colour scheme is striking - I quite like that.

I know there are a few of my mistakes visible on my boat, but after a year I've forgotten where to look for them.  No-one else seems to have noticed, despite it being on display at our demos.

Hi Yambo, very nice, good job! Nice colour scheme indeed. Enjoy the boat, must be lovely to have such kayak ready to use at the Turkish Riviera (as opposed to Belgian small river)!
