Green Bio Epoxy

Professional Epoxy was supplied with my kit from Fyne.  It seems an excellent easy to use product but when I checked on the website a few moments ago for more instructionsI found a Green bio resin is available.  I chose to bbuild from wood because I am concerned about the environment and would have liked to have used this.  Has anyone any experience of this Supersap?

Re: Green Bio Epoxy

This sounds like good stuff.  I think I would also like to have used it.

Re: Green Bio Epoxy

It costs a lot more. But count me in as wanting this.

Re: Green Bio Epoxy

I used it on a surf board it was in the kit from fyne I am keen on the green aspects and the boards are as green as poss, it is comfortable to use with very little smell I had not trouble even with the fabric & as far as I could tell it was plenty strong enough.  I recommend it.

Perhaps I should have mentioned this but I have also used the PEC epoxy on a repair & can confirm that both behave in the same way.

Re: Green Bio Epoxy

Most of us have already built and are not planning on getting another boat for a little while so perhaps we should not be taking part in this.  But I would and will go for the eco option if possible.

Re: Green Bio Epoxy

Perhaps it could be possible to have it as an optional extra

Re: Green Bio Epoxy

Supplying the SuperSap with all of our kits is an option that has been considered but it was felt that the additional cost would not go down well with our customers at the moment.  The idea of an optional upgrade is a good one which I shall pass on. I for one would upgrade.

Re: Green Bio Epoxy

We have been supplying the epoxy as an upgrade for sometime but for a short time we are making the upgrade free.
