Shearwater 16 hybrid, my lockdown project and first ever boat build.

In sweltering heat on Coniston Water today, 'Sanderling' gets its bottom wet.

Lovely to paddle, swift and stable but surprisingly agile and very easy to hold on edge. Be interesting to see how it goes in windier and more challenging water

I have also carved a Greenland paddle from two planks of cedar supplied by Fyne boats but did not use it today.

Hi Bruce.  Looks fantastic.  Also interested in the Greenland paddle (I dont have one yet).  What's next?  I'm thinking of the teardrop camper...

Final coat of varnish on and then rigging so not too far behind you!
