Masking tape

Is it ok to use plain old masking tape to cover inside seams when using epoxy? I'm just checking it won't stick hard giving me more fun sanding to do! :-)
Thanks

Re: Masking tape

Yes, this is what I used on my two buids and funny enough tonight I have been doing some fillet work and just removed the masking tape.  Some points I learnt.  Don't stick it down with a lot of force, put it on and give a quick rub with your finger.  make sure you give yourself enough room for the radius tool to profile a good radius that just touches the edge of the tape (I assume you are making fillets) if you don't do this and make the area inside the masking tape too small you end up getting a raised edge on the resin when you remove the tape.  Finally make sure you remove the tape before the resin is dry, I always removed mine no later than 1 hour after applying the resin, using a Stanley knife to lift the first edge of the tape away then pulling it off with gloved hand.
