With the forecast not totally dreadful, it was time to come blinking out form the cellar into the sunlight, and get the Shearwater wet. Varnishing can wait for another day, and with not too much prolonged UV to worry about, it was time to head up to Fell Foot on Windermere.

The boat tracks very well, and it will heel to the coaming and still pop back up.

There was just time to test out the latest Fyne kit, a strongly built, easy to handle dinghy...

Then Wood Duckling "Silvermist" and Shearwater Sport "Kittiwake" set out to explore secret islands - this is why I built them!
