Always check before signing

I took delivery of some paint and varnish last week, the box looked ok to me (small dent) so I signed for it and the delivery driver left.

A while later I opened the box and saw a small leak,

Maybe not so small

Oh dear.

As I had signed for it the delivery company say it was in good condition when they left it. I will be more careful in future and make the driver wait while I check the contents.

Re: Always check before signing

You're welcome.  Damage is pretty rare as the carrier we use are on the whole reliable but accidents do happen now and again.  Thank you for your understanding.

We look forward to seeing you and your boat on the water soon.  Happy varnishing!

ps it would save us the cost if the driver's docket is marked as "damaged box" if there is any, even slight, damage to the box.
