I would love to know a bit more about the performance. I do a lot of sea work and wondered how well it rode the waves and does it need a skeg?
Well done with the build that is a superb looking kayak. I notice that fyne have used one of your pictures so it seems everyone likes it.

Hi, it does not need a skeg. it tracks beautifully, better than any fiberglass kayak i have paddled. very quick, light, and steers very well. i can keep a very good average speed against the tide on the river Arun.. also find it very stable, at 17' and 22" beam is remarkable ... I would recomend not varying from the plans and original design..Mike

Also it is not easy to build but not hard, if you are practical it is no problem, but the quality of the finish requires allot of patience, read allot beforehand, do your research, buy a few books on the subject. also the guys at Fyne were great help with any problems i had
