As a general rule I understand that the best practice is to put a blob of thickened epoxy on all screw fittings, to make sure that the ply stays moisture free, but this does of course mean that if I ever need to move a fitting, the screws may be hard to remove. Would marine caulk do a good enough job?
Also, when fitting the buoyancy hatches does the seal need caulking or is this not necessary?
Any other tips for fitting hardware?
